New cycle path between Fremdingen and Minderoffingen for more safety!

A new pedestrian and cycle path between Fremdingen and Minderoffingen is currently being built in front of the public, and anticipation is great. Ulrich Lange, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport, recently took over the patronage at a press event and informed those present that this cycle path is an important step towards improving the quality of life in the region. The aim of the new route is not only to reduce the use of cars, but also to increase traffic safety along the busy B25, which runs through the Donau-Ries district. The realization of the cycle path is part of a larger vision that aims to provide the Donau-Ries district with a comprehensive, separate and safe cycling infrastructure. The use of bicycles as an environmentally friendly alternative to cars should therefore become significantly more attractive. New signage for cycle paths

But it's not just the new cycle path that will bring a breath of fresh air to the district. The new signage of the tourist cycle path network has also now been completed. As part of this project, new main and intermediate signposts were installed at intersections and confusing areas. These new signs show both long-distance destinations that are up to 30 kilometers away and nearby destinations with precise kilometer information. The logos of the themed routes and long-distance cycle paths adorn the signposts and help cyclists to orientate themselves better.

The installation of the signs was carried out by the employees of the district construction yard, and they are also responsible for maintenance. The project received support from Josef Winter, a committed supporter of the project. District Administrator Stefan Rößle emphasized the importance of a well-signposted cycle path network, which covers around 1,000 kilometers and is of great importance for both locals and tourists. The signs were put up taking into account suggestions from local residents, which ensures that the population is closely involved in the project.
