Major road construction work will soon be underway in Landau, which will impact the traffic situation around the B20. On Friday, October 31, 2025, the exit and entrance ramps to the B20 near Landau-Süd will be closed briefly for repair work. However, this does not mean the end of the construction sites, because the B20 in the direction of Eggenfelden will also be closed from October 28th. The installation of the asphalt base layers and the necessary repair work on the bridge over the B20 are on the agenda here. Traffic disruptions and diversions
The current construction site on the B20 involves some significant diversions. From October 28th, the B20 in the direction of Eggenfelden will only be accessible in one lane at a reduced speed. Road users are encouraged to use the diversion via the “Landau” junction. This leads via the A92 to Dingolfing-Ost and further via DGF 15 and St 2327 to the Niederreisbach roundabout. A further diversion from the Landau-Mitte-Nord junction takes place via the St 2114 to Harburg, then to the “Klabautermann roundabout” on St 2074 in the direction of Gottfriedingerschwaige.
The entrance from the old bypass road onto the B20 and the exit from the B20 onto the old bypass road will also be closed until the end of November. From this time onwards, road users can only access the B20 via the Landau-Mitte-Nord and Landau-Nord junctions. The further closures are necessary to carry out asphalt work in the area of the Zanklau Bridge and the new roundabout.
