Career fair Stay here” in Dingolfing: Record attendance enthusiastic!

The career orientation fair “Stay here”, which recently took place at the Herzog-Tassilo-Realschule and the Dingolfing High School, once again impressively demonstrated how important direct exchange between young people and companies is. Over 2,000 visitors, including students, parents and siblings, flocked to the event, which featured a total of 124 exhibitors. From regional companies to technical schools and various institutions – the range was wide-ranging and offered something for every career idea.

The new exhibition space was used intensively, which gave additional impetus to the discussions between the young people and company representatives. Over 120 apprenticeships and dual study programs could be viewed, which made clear the companies' willingness to train young people in the region. District Administrator Werner Bumeder visited numerous trade fair stands and was enthusiastic about the variety and quality of the offerings. “Direct exchange is essential for recruiting young talent,” said Bumeder, who encouraged the students to take advantage of the opportunity for personal advice and to actively focus on their professional future.

Diverse possibilities for the future

The trade fair not only offered information, but also the opportunity to gain practical insights. The participating companies strived to make it clear to young people what career paths are open to them. Whether technical professions, health training professions or creative courses of study - the diversity was very popular and the exhibitors had their hands full answering the many questions from interested young people.

Particular attention was also paid to dual study programs, which represent a combination of theory and practice and are becoming increasingly popular. This form of training combines the best of both worlds and makes graduates fit for the job market.

The activities were accompanied by a colorful supporting program that also appealed and inspired the visitors. The focus here is on exchange and networking - an experience that allows students and companies to grow not only next to each other, but with each other.

The “Stay Here” trade fair is not only a platform for information, but also a groundbreaking event for everyone involved. The commitment of the exhibitors and the great response shows once again that the region is growing together to promote young talent and show opportunities. This exchange will certainly continue to play an important role in the future.

In addition to these local events, it is also important to keep an eye on current events in other areas. For example, the tragic news from the USA, where former football coach John Beam was shot on the campus of Laney College in Oakland. Beam was active in the football community for over 40 years and his impact on youth is immeasurable. The circumstances of his death remain unclear, but this shows how important it is to ensure safety and a positive role in the lives of young people. While local events like the “Stay Here” career fair highlight shortcomings and needs in the youth market, international tragedies remind us of the importance of community and protection.

In this regard, it is more than ever necessary to promote youth support programs, both locally and globally.
