Burglary in the clubhouse: Perpetrators leave 2000 euros worth of damage in Karlsfeld!
An incident occurred in Karlsfeld on the night of Monday to Tuesday that put the local community on alert. Unknown perpetrators broke into a clubhouse on Jahnstrasse. The burglars forced entry through a window and ransacked the premises looking for valuables. However, according to the police's initial findings, nothing was stolen. The damage caused amounts to around 2000 euros. The Dachau police station has now started an investigation into a particularly serious case of attempted theft and is looking for witnesses. Suspicious observations can be reported by calling 08131 / 561‒0 South German newspaper reported.
This break-in is one of a series of break-ins and attempted break-ins that have occurred in the Dachau and Karlsfeld area in recent days. For example, between August 20th and 24th, 2024 there were several incidents that were reported by the Dachau police station. In Karlsfeld, two attempted burglaries were recorded at Max-Joseph-Platz, in which the perpetrators tried to break down doors. Here, too, the attempt was unsuccessful, so that the damage remained in the mid-three-digit range. Another incident occurred in an apartment building on the stone bridge, where a cellar compartment was broken into, but nothing was stolen. On Thursday, August 22nd, a basement room on Mittermayerstrasse in Dachau was broken into, which in turn resulted in damage in the mid-three-digit range. This incident, like many others in this series, was not stolen Mercury reported.
Series of burglaries investigated
The police see a possible connection between these break-ins and have intensified the investigation. On Friday, August 23rd, for example, there were two further break-ins in cellar compartments on Wümstrasse and Alte Römerstrasse in Dachau. While in one case a gas grill worth around 300 euros was stolen, in the other case it was an attempt: the padlock of a cellar compartment was attacked, but no theft occurred, so the damage is only in the mid-double-digit range. Police are urging the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
These incidents clearly show that the sense of security in the region is shaken by such break-ins. Residents are asked to be vigilant and to contact the police immediately if they notice anything unusual. Together we may be able to prevent further break-ins and hold the perpetrators accountable. The Dachau police station is available to citizens at any time to answer questions and provide information.
