ASV Cham is strengthening itself with two talents for the Bayernliga!

The personnel planning of the Bayernliga club ASV Cham is taking on more and more concrete forms. With the signing of Raphael Huber (19) and Martin Schuster (18), the club has signed two promising talents for the next two years. This reports Home sport.

Raphael Huber is moving from the regional league relegated team SpVgg GW Deggendorf to Cham. During his trial training, the talented player stood out due to his technical expertise and willingness to play in the six-man position. He was an important pillar at SpVgg Deggendorf as a regular and has already played several games over 90 minutes in the state league as a youth player. Michael Plänitz, sporting director of ASV Cham, believes that Huber has the potential to quickly adapt to the Bayernliga.

Martin Schuster, who comes from ASV Neumarkt's A youth team, brings a good amount of speed. He can be used as both a winger and a center forward. Plänitz is confident that Schuster can be quickly integrated into the men's team in order to make an immediate contribution.

New playmaker for the offense

But that's not all that ASV Cham has to offer. Another highlight is the arrival of Yannick Frey, who was previously under contract with regional league team SpVgg Bayreuth. Frey, who is 23, made 20 appearances for Bayreuth last season, coming off the bench 16 times. During this time he was able to score one goal and was in the starting line-up four times, including against TSV Buchbach and SpVgg Greuther Fürth II. Plänitz emphasizes that Frey is planned as a classic number 10 or as a hanging forward in order to close the offensive gap in the team.

Frey already has his qualities with a solid performance in the youth team at SpVgg Bayern Hof, where he scored eleven goals in 35 appearances in the 2023/2024 season. The sporting director is convinced that Frey will not only have good quality in standard situations, but can also quickly become a valuable part of the team as he will meet former Bayern Hof teammates.

A look at youth transfers

The website offers to shed light on the situation in the youth sector Transfer market a comprehensive overview of the arrivals and departures of FC Bayern Munich. A total of 15 arrivals were reported for the 2024/25 season, all on free transfers, with an average age of just 15 years.

The balance sheet shows that the focus is on youth, which also benefits ASV Cham by signing young talents such as Huber, Schuster and Frey. ASV Cham has positioned itself well with these transfer projects and is looking forward to the coming season.
