On Sunday, June 15, 2025, a tragic bathing accident occurred on the eastern banks of the Lech: A 30-year-old came in acute water at around 4:15 p.m. Passers -by watched the dramatic scenes and pulled the man out of the water. Despite immediate resuscitation by the emergency services and the subsequent delivery to the hospital, the young man could not be saved and died there.

The Augsburg criminal police have now started the causes of the accident to clarify further details of the fateful incident.
