Serious accident on A8: Motorists overturned after Crash near Zusmarshausen

Am Dienstagmorgen kam es auf der A8 bei Zusmarshausen zu einem schweren Unfall zwischen zwei Autofahrern. Ein 35-Jähriger wurde schwer verletzt, als er beim Spurwechsel einen anderen Wagen übersah. Die Autobahn musste für die Unfallaufnahme gesperrt werden.

On Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, there was a dramatic traffic accident on the A8 highway, Zusmarshausen. A 35-year-old driver overturned several times after he had apparently overlooked him in the left lane when he overtaken a 33-year-old. The collision occurred shortly before the Zusmarshausen exit when the 35-year-old wanted to switch from the middle to the left lane.

The seriously injured man was immediately flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. His 33-year-old accident opponent only suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. The property damage is estimated at around 35,000 euros. Due to the accident recording and the necessary cleaning work, the highway remained completely closed to Munich for around an hour.
