On Sunday evening, July 20, 2025, a serious accident occurred on Thalkirchner Strasse. A 64-year-old driver from the district of Mühldorf am Inn wanted to turn right at the intersection to Kapuzinerstrasse when the traffic light jumped on green for him. He overlooked a 21-year-old pedestrian who wanted to cross the street on the pedestrian festival planned. The young woman was seriously injured in the collision and had to be taken to the hospital.

But the chaos did not end here: the 64-year-old then also hit a 58-year-old from Munich at the red traffic light, before he continued and finally collided with another Daimler Benz of a 55-year-old who was also waiting at the traffic light. Fortunately, the 58-year-old, the 55-year-old and the driver of the causing vehicle remained unharmed. However, considerable damage to property occurred on the cars involved. The police found that the 64-year-old showed signs of alcoholization and carried out a blood sample. Now the Munich traffic police are investigating.
