Political tensions in Nuremberg: Police prevent demo confrontation

On Monday evening, June 30, 2025, around 80 people gathered in the Nuremberg city center for a political rally entitled "For democracy and the rule of law - recognize voters!" At the same time, around 250 counter -demonstrators formed on the west side of the Hallplatz under various Motti, including "Nuremberg Nazi Frei". The police were on site with numerous emergency services to prevent the two camps.

The situation escalated briefly when the officers arrested a man who defended himself against the enforcement of his personal details. The emergency services ensured that the demonstrations run smoothly, although there were sitting blocks through the counter -demonstrators in several places. These were immediately dissolved by the police. At the end of the evening, investigations against some assembly participants had been initiated, among other things for insulting and violations of the Bavarian Assembly Act. The police ended the meeting at 8:45 p.m.
