In early Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the A8 motorway between the Friedberg junction. A 59-year-old truck driver found death when his vehicle caught fire. At around 03:45 a.m., the truck fell after a tire place, collided with the concrete sliding wall and fell partly. The resulting fire led to fatal injuries to the driver.

The police initiated the investigation into the cause of the accident and ordered an accident analytical report. The property damage is estimated at around 163,000 euros. The A8 remains closed in the direction of Munich between the Friedberg and Dasing junctions until the evening due to street work. Road users are asked to plan more time and to consider the area bypass.
