There was chaos in Bamberg on Tuesday evening when a 32-year-old woman rioted on Nürnberger Straße with concentrated anger. Another point that contributed to the escalation of the situation was the woman's significantly increased alcohol level, which was 1.6 per mille. She was then taken to the police cell to sober up and was supposed to rest there. These incidents in Bamberg are not isolated, as another relevant report shows.

On Monday evening, the police had to be called out because of another incident in Bamberg city center. A 44-year-old man caused multiple alarms, like Bamberg My city reported. First, he threw a glass bottle on the ground on the Chain Bridge and insulted a passer-by.

His further outburst led to him setting fire to several cardboard boxes on Austraße, which fortunately were discovered and extinguished in time. As if that wasn't enough, he continued on the sandy street with empty beer bottles and overturned garbage cans and even threw a parked bicycle into a parked car, leaving visible paint damage.

The police classified this man as a threat to others and took him to a psychiatric facility due to his disorders. An examination of his mental health is still pending. BAMBERG currently appears to be a hotspot for such incidents, causing both property damage and a general feeling of insecurity among the public.
