Bad Tölz train station: Major redesign for better connections begins!
In Bad Tölz, the train station square will be completely redesigned by December 15th. The reason for this extensive construction site is the introduction of the new Alpine bus and other bus routes, which will offer a higher frequency of regional transport from December. Süddeutsche.de reports that…
The measure provides for a reorganization of all bus stops on Bahnhofsplatz and Landrat-Wiedemann-Straße. In the future, six bus stops will be arranged in a line in front of the train station, so that all stops are on the street side of the train station building. Particular attention is paid to accessibility: all stops should be designed so that they can be used by all citizens without restrictions.
New bus connections and stops
Which lines will stop at the station in the future? According to the contract, there will be the following connections:
- X970 (Wolfratshausen-Starnberg)
- 353 (ZOB, Lenggries Bahnhof-Schopfloch)
- 357 (ZOB Isarkai)
- 372 (Wolfratshausen)
- 391 (Bad Heilbrunn-Penzberg, Roche Haupttor)
- 392 (Bad Heilbrunn-Kochel, Bahnhof)
- 311 (Stadtbus)
- 312 (Stadtbus)
- X381 (Miesbach, Bahnhof)
- X380 (Miesbach, Bahnhof-Rosenheim, Bahnhof)
- X990 (Penzberg, Bahnhof-Iffeldorf, Bahnhof)
Another measure is moving the taxi ranks to the north side of Bahnhofsplatz, between Eisenberger Straße and Eichmühlstraße. In order to increase safety for pedestrians, a new crossing aid is being planned to improve the traffic situation near the intersection of Eisenberger Straße and Bahnhofsplatz.
Renovation in phases
The renovation will be carried out in two phases to keep disruption to residents and passers-by as low as possible. In the first construction phase, the bus loop at Bahnhofsplatz and the sidewalk will be completely closed, while the street space will remain open. Replacement stops will be set up on District Administrator-Wiedemann-Straße.
In the second phase, there will be a partial closure at Bahnhofsplatz and on Landrat-Wiedemann-Straße. Here, too, the sidewalk is partially closed, so pedestrians have to move to the sidewalk opposite. Appropriate signs will be put up to point out these changes.
In the current discussion about the traffic situation and mobility offers in Bad Tölz, ticket sales should not be forgotten. There are different ways to buy public transport tickets. From personal advice in the DB travel centers to continuously available ticket machines at the train stations that offer support in six languages, there is something for everyone. bahnhof.de informs that…
Online and mobile ticket purchases are also available to make handling suitable for grandchildren. You can also get information about tickets from other transport companies. The providers who regularly stop at the train stations are also listed there.
If you look at this renovation as an opportunity, there is really a lot going on here! The redesign of the station square will not only contribute to a more efficient arrangement of traffic flows, but also increase the quality of stay in Bad Tölz. There is something for everyone who lives here and those who want to visit us!
