Fatal bike accident in Emmerting - police are looking for witnesses and hints!

On Friday evening, July 18, 2025, there was a tragic traffic accident in Emmerting in the Altötting district that cost a male cyclist. The incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. in the Emmertinger Forst, not far from the sports field and the old Poststrasse. According to police.bayern.de the cyclist fell alone and died at the scene of the accident despite immediate medical measures.

The late cyclist is estimated at about 65 years. It had a size of around 175 cm, a slim stature and wore gray -colored hair without a beard or glasses. He was dressed in short blue jeans and an olive-green T-shirt. The bike with which he was on the way was a blue men's bike from the Hercules brand. The investigation into the clarification of the circumstances of the accident was taken over by the Altötting Police Inspectorate, under the management of the Traunstein public prosecutor.
