The contemplative time has begun in Altötting! The Christmas market, which will be held at Kapellplatz from November 28th to December 21st, 2025, will transform the city into a winter wonderland. This means the little ones can work with a wood turner every day except Thursday and Friday and create their own Christmas decorations. Santa Claus also visits the market every day and distributes fresh organic apples and sweets from Fairtrade countries. Even the children's carousel in front of the town hall gives groups from kindergartens free rides to put a smile on the faces of the little visitors.

“Heartwarming Altötting” – several city tours give an insight into the city’s Advent traditions and the sights. The market is supported not only by a great program, but also by special attractions such as the Christkindl Rally, where children can find their lost wish lists. Another highlight is the ice magic at Bahnhofplatz: an impressive 300 m² synthetic ice rink awaits visitors here, which is open throughout the entire Christmas market and has special events on certain days.
