Aichach, Deutschland - this day, June 29, 2025, Aichach is once again transformed into a hotspot for sports enthusiasts. The 40. Aichacher Stadtlauf of the LC Aichach is on the plan and the anticipation is noticeable. At 5 p.m. the starting shot is in front of the historic old town hall, and the weather goddess means well - sun without tropical temperatures and a probability of rain zero! 

A total of 130 participants have already registered by Wednesday morning, which has been the highest number since the times before Corona. And no reason to hesitate: late registrations are still possible on the day of the event.

a colorful program for everyone

The city run will be much more than just a competition - it is a foliage for everyone who enjoys moving. The event is divided into several runs: the "Special Run" of the Ulrichswerkstätten Aichach. This is followed by children and youth runs, all of which include a 1.2 kilometer round. The small participants can look forward to medals and vouchers for a ball of ice cream.

The crowning glory is the main run of adults over six kilometers, which starts at 6:15 p.m. Here the participants face the challenge of six rounds around the picturesque old town. In addition, the U18 and U20 juniors are at the start in two rounds (2.4 kilometers).

There are attractive prices for the fastest women and men of a competition class, and the top six starters in each category are awarded documents. Starting numbers can be picked up in the start-finish area from 4:30 p.m. But the traffic is also not unaffected: the city center is closed to traffic between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., a perfect opportunity to cheer on the runners.

A look at the current club activities makes it clear that the LC Aichach is active. For example, on July 12, a family festival will take place at the Grubethaus, which is under the motto "Family in the LC". At 3 p.m. it starts with coffee and cake, and grilling from 5:30 p.m. is grilled. Cake donations and contributions to the salad buffet are welcome, registrations are possible until July 4 to be able to prepare everything well.

The members of the LC Aichach are not only active in the city run, but also at other events. Inga Manneck was able to complete the impressive distance of 92 kilometers and over 4700 meters in just 17: 47.07 hours at the UTMB Mozart Ultra in Salzburg. This brought her first place in her age group.

The brothers Martin and Michael Widmayr and Sigi Spielmann also had their successes at the 57th North Swabia Run: Martin secured the 3rd place in the AK M60 in the 10 km run and the after-run party in the Kultlokal Barbetrieb in Aichach was another highlight for the participants.

The LC Aichach is not only known for its competitions, but also for its club championships, which will take place this year from March 1 to October 31.
