The anticipation is palpable in Wunsiedel, because the meadow festival kicked off on July 4, 2025 and is already causing excitement and enthusiasm in the region. A record-breaking procession kicked off the celebrations: hundreds of Wunsiedlers and guests gathered to experience the festive procession, which was organized by local clubs. The organizational team, consisting of Karin Hille, Carolin Kammerer and Tanja Wittke, has demonstrated a good knack for a successful event that will provide plenty of entertainment in the coming days. The atmospheric evening was accompanied by music from the Wunsiedel town band and the district fire brigade club's marching band. A full program awaits
The meadow festival runs until July 7th and has a lot to offer. The next day, Saturday, the gates to the festival site open at 1:00 p.m. In the evening, the Ziegelhütten musicians will delight visitors with good music. Sunday, July 6th, will feature an ecumenical service at 11:30 a.m. in the marquee, followed by a family day with reduced fares from 1:00 p.m. From 2:00 p.m. “Klaus McAusten with Marie” will provide the musical entertainment.
On Monday, July 7th, guests can look forward to the schools' traditional meadow festival parade from 12:00 p.m. There is also great anticipation here, as the primary school will be performing a joint dance, while the Mehlmeisler village musicians will provide the appropriate musical setting from 1 p.m. The conclusion of the meadow festival will be duly celebrated with party music from “Klaus McAusten with Susann” and a magnificent fireworks display at 10 p.m.
