Preparations for the 2025 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup are in full swing, and the U19 men from Germany are ready for the challenge. The last course is currently taking place in Würzburg, from June 24th to 26th, in order to optimally prepare the players for the upcoming event. The list of invited players is impressive and shows that the selection is extensive and talented. Among the 14 nominated actors are some who have already celebrated success at national level. Almost all of the players who won the title at the last U18 EuroBasket 2024 got a place in the squad. Some of the names include Musa Abra from the CATL Basketball Lions and Christian Anderson Jr. from Texas Tech University.
Talented players in focus
The team is a diverse mix of up-and-coming talent and some experienced players. Notable talents include Real Madrid's Declan Duru and FC Bayern Munich Basketball's Nicolas Kodjoe. Eric Reibe, who is moving to the University of Connecticut next fall, has also found his place in the squad and has already won the bronze medal at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2023.
As far as preparation is concerned, the first training camp took place in Kienbaum at the beginning of June, where the players got ready for the tournament. This camp also included an exciting trip to Divcibare, Serbia for two friendly matches.
