INFO meeting milk in Erkheim: Discuss the future of milk!

An exciting event entitled “INFOtreff Milch” will take place in the Bavarian community of Erkheim on Friday, November 7th, 2025. From 7:30 p.m. everyone interested can come to the AKUT inn, Memmingerstr. 35A, 87746 Erkheim cordially invited. The active farmer Benedikt Langemeyer from North Rhine-Westphalia will give a lecture on the topic “Milk has perspective!” address current events in the dairy industry. Langemeyer brings not only his own business experience, but also his extensive commitment from numerous volunteer positions to stimulate a lively discussion.

The INFO meeting will particularly focus on the differences between the Bavarian milk situation and the situation in North Rhine-Westphalia. After the lecture, participants have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in an open discussion. This event is free and accessible not only to dairy farmers, but to anyone interested in the dairy industry. However, prior registration is recommended to make planning easier. Commitment and networking

Benedikt Langemeyer is a 47-year-old dairy farmer from Mettingen and has been involved in the dairy industry on a voluntary basis for many years. He was recently confirmed as chairman of an important committee such as the WLV reports. At a meeting on October 30th, Dirk Kalthaus, a dairy farmer from Ennepetal, was also re-elected as deputy milk committee chairman. In this context, WLV Vice President Henner Braach reported on the association's current work and the important role that voluntary work plays in the industry.

Additionally, Leonie Langeneck, who has been the new head of the milk department at the German Farmers' Association since January 1st, introduced herself at the meeting. She informed those present about explosive political issues that affect dairy farmers. Dr. Peter Heimberg, head of the animal health service LWK NRW, also gave an overview of the current epidemic situation and the challenges that the industry currently has to overcome.
