Innovative care in focus: New Care Mobil stops in Waldsassen!
What is happening in the Tirschenreuth district? An exciting initiative brings a breath of fresh air to the region: The New Care Mobile from the Bad Kötzting health campus of the Deggendorf University of Technology (THD) is currently stopping in Waldsassen. The mobile tiny house, which is part of a Bavaria-wide roadshow, offers insight into innovative solutions for senior and care-friendly living and can be found in the parking lot of the former EDEKA LEGAT branch at the Tongrube from October 13th to 16th, 2025.
The days when it was difficult to deal with the challenges of old age are a thing of the past. With a special focus on modern technology, the New Care Mobile aims to make everyday life easier for older people and those in need of care. And the best thing about it: Entry is free and visitors only need to register for groups of ten or more.
Innovative living solutions at a glance
The New Care Mobil is more than just a chic tiny house. With a size of 3 x 9 meters, it presents transportable living solutions that are tailored to the needs of older people and people in need of help and care. The equipment ranges from analog to digital care technologies and is designed to be barrier-free in accordance with the ready concept. In this way, the privacy of those in need of care is protected as well as their independence.
The mobile experience space should not only be available to citizens, but also to professionals from the health and care sector. In the last few days, many interested visitors have revealed that the idea of new forms of living and care is important to them. Special highlights of the mobile project are the height-adjustable kitchen units, the integrated fall detection lamps, which automatically provide light and can even trigger emergency calls.

The New Care Mobil roadshow will be on tour at ten different locations in Upper and Lower Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate until November 2025.
