Martin Mönig takes over ZF management in Schweinfurt: New course from August!

There will soon be a breath of fresh air in ZF's management team in Schweinfurt: Martin Mönig will be the new site manager from August 1, 2025. He succeeds Manfred Süß, who is returning to ZF Lifetec in Aschau. Mönig brings over 25 years of experience in various management positions at the Schweinfurt location and will use his extensive knowledge and leadership experience to steer the company to new heights. Radio Primatone reports that Süß's resignation was announced in April, but his successor remained a secret until now.

Martin Mönig, 56 years old, is not new to the company. Most recently, he was Global Commodity Manager in materials management and enjoyed extensive training in mechanical engineering and economics at the Ruhr University in Bochum and the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Technology. His career began in 1999 at Mannesmann Sachs AG, where he worked as a buyer. From then on, Mönig took over the management of a purchasing team for investments and energy in 2001, followed by further management tasks with global responsibility. The Main Post emphasizes that its goal is clearly to further develop the competitiveness of the multi-division location.

Challenges and opportunities

Mönig sees numerous challenges in his new tasks, especially with regard to the transformation towards sustainable mobility, digitalization and new technologies. The experienced manager is determined to make the location competitive through innovation, experience and team spirit. Tobias Brugger, Head of Production in Division E, has already referred to Mönig's knowledge and strategic skills and is optimistic about the company's future joint development.

Mönig himself emphasizes that it is important to continue to make the location sustainable. In this context, he also finds clear words for the upcoming changes that are shaping the sector. “There is something going on,” one could say in view of the numerous developments that are coming to the workforce.

A family man in the district

Away from professional challenges, Martin Mönig lives with his wife and two sons in the Schweinfurt district. The family seems to be an important source of support for him as he takes over the helm at ZF in Schweinfurt. With a clear focus on the future and the support of a well-coordinated team, Mönig will certainly do its best to keep the location on track and provide new impetus. The farewell to Manfred Süß brings a new era for ZF Schweinfurt and the entire region.
