Junge Union Schwandorf donates 400 euros for children's palliative care!
A warm sign of solidarity was recently sent in Schwandorf. The Junge Union Schwandorf presented a donation of 400 euros to the Children's Palliative East Bavaria to support the important work for seriously ill children and their families. The amount comes from the proceeds of a prize sheep's head, which attracted numerous participants and thus provided a successful framework for supporting this valuable institution.
Again Upper Palatinate messenger reports, the focus of children's palliative care is on supporting families in stressful life situations. She offers both medical and psychological help. In particular, pediatricians and outpatient (child) care services are used to ensure basic palliative care. This includes relief from pain, shortness of breath and other distressing symptoms, which is invaluable for the children affected.
Appreciation of regional traditions
“We have a good knack for regional traditions,” emphasized the local chairman of the Junge Union, Timo Wellnhofer. His words underline the double meaning of this campaign: It is not just about supporting children's palliative care, but also about promoting community and cohesion in Schwandorf. Supporting running events, festivals and words like these is not just about money, but about the appreciation it shows our social cohesion.
In Bavaria, palliative care is particularly dependent on donations, as the financing of many offers is often not covered by health insurance companies. Initiatives like this are all the more important in order to guarantee the best possible care and quality of life for terminally ill children. The non-profit organization Kinder-Palliativ-Hilfe Niederbayern e.V. supports such measures and promotes institutions that have the well-being of the affected children and their families in mind. Further information can be found at Children's palliative care in Lower Bavaria.
Outpatient palliative care is used when children's health deteriorates and more intensive care is required. The team, consisting of experienced pediatricians and nurses, offers support wherever it is needed - be it in your own four walls or in specialized facilities. When you look at the challenges that parents and children face, it becomes clear how urgently this help is needed. An overview of the various support offers can also be found on the website Federal Ministry of Health.
The Junge Union would like to thank all participants, sponsors and helpers of the event who contributed to the success of the prize sheep's head. Your support is not only a gesture of generosity, but also a strong sign of community that has an impact far beyond Schwandorf.
