Feuerfüchse Arnstorf: Children's fire brigade started with 20 new members!

Last weekend was all about the youngest fire brigade talents in Arnstorf. The children’s fire department “Feuerfüchse Arnstorf” was officially launched on Saturday. A big step for the community, which was duly recognized with a celebration. A total of 20 children between the ages of 6 and 12 are now ready to gain their first experience in the fire department. The event was a festive occasion at which numerous guests from politics and the fire service were present.

The welcome was given by the first commander, Mario Eichinger, who underlined the importance of youth work in his speech. The welcoming speakers included the district fire inspector Theo Pichlmaier, the chairman of the fire department Moritz Graf von Deym and Mayor Christoph Brunner. Angelika Burner from the Rottal-Inn children's fire department and Alfons Sittinger, chairman of the Leader-LAG, also took the opportunity to congratulate the company on its founding. This support shows how important the fire service community is to the region.

Blessing and values

A special highlight of the celebration was the blessing of the children's fire engines, carried out by Pastor Michael Osterholzer and Pastor Robert Schön. The speeches emphasized the value of cohesion, helpfulness and responsibility, which will shape the new “fire foxes” in the future. Janina Seidl, the head of the children's fire department, spoke in her contribution about the importance of team spirit and enthusiasm. This not only conveys important values, but also makes friends and encourages fun in the fire department and its tasks.

Activities and goals

The children's fire department in Arnstorf is aimed at all interested children between the ages of 6 and 12, regardless of gender. The program promises a colorful mix of activities: from crafts, games and painting to small experiments and first aid training. The focus is on fun! Arnstorf fire department emphasizes that team spirit, responsibility and fire service knowledge are conveyed through age-appropriate and enjoyable learning methods. Membership in the “Arnstorf Volunteer Fire Department” association is free of charge and only requires written consent from the parents.

This initiative is part of a larger project to strengthen the fire service community in Arnstorf and promote young talent. Thanks to the support of the Leader funding program, local projects in rural areas can be further advanced. With the “Fire Foxes” the first step has been taken into an exciting future!
