125 years TV Bad Birnbach: Celebrate, Sport and Great Emotions!
Bad Birnbach, Deutschland - The Bad Birnbach gymnastics club celebrated its 125th anniversary last weekend with a three-day festival that brought the community together and provided a lot of fun. The celebrations began with a sheep head tournament, in which 144 participants measured themselves. Richard Danninger secured the victory with 55 plus points, closely followed by Franz Seizl with 48 points and Max Strahberger, who scored 36 points. The mood was great and the festival itself was often like a good old village community.
Another highlight was the Gaudi soccer tournament, in which a total of 11 teams merged. "Oettinger Allstars" shone in the final and defeated the "SV Wacker drauf" 4: 0. In the small final, "Ingos Flamingos" asserted themselves against "The Goass’n" with a narrow 2: 1. Board of Directors Axel Weber praised the fair play of the teams and thanked the referees for their great work, which contributed to a harmonious course of the games.
festive mood and honors
The celebrations took place in a lovingly designed marquee, where the band "Hurricane & Friends" provided musical entertainment. Mayor Dagmar Feicht took the opportunity to express their thanks to the volunteers of the association and to emphasize the importance of the association for the community. "Not only does sports do this, but also a valuable contribution to integration is made," says Feicht.
The TV Bad Birnbach has a long and proud story. The club was founded as a gymnast fire brigade in 1860 before the association renamed a gymnastics club in 1900. A milestone in the club's history was the inauguration of the sports and leisure area in 1984. There was a special review of sporting successes at the festival: in 2015 the "first" team made it to the climb while the reserve was reaching the championship.
Integration and honors
A central concern of the association is to promote integration. Athletes from Brazil, Poland, Morocco, Kosovo and Bulgaria also play on TV Bad Birnbach. The Bavarian Football Association, which was honored at the celebrations, also appreciates this approach. In addition, three new honorary members were appointed: Thomas "Tom" Schießl, Jürgen Stapfer and Peter Obermeier, whose commitment to the association has been recognized for a long time.
The Reichertsham musicians designed the end of the celebrations under the direction of Maxi Ortner. The board named the connections between sporting activity and conviviality as an important pillar of the association. The support of the Bad Birnbach market and the sponsors were not neglected and were warmly thanked. So the TV Bad Birnbach will remain a place of community and sport.
like the Pnp and Graf-Arco report, it remains to be hoped that the coming years will bring more success and celebrations.
