New network: Bad Neustadt supports Syrian doctors in the crisis area

In Bad Neustadt an der Saale tut sich Aktuelles in der medizinischen Fachwelt. A dedicated team led by Hassan Soda, chief physician at the Clinic for Acute Neurology and Stroke Unit at the Rhön-Klinikum Campus Bad Neustadt, would like to build a network between Germany and Syria. The focus is on supporting Syrian colleagues, especially through modern medical equipment and its use in hospitals.
Gleichzeitig liegt der Fokus auch auf der Schulung und Weiterbildung der syrischen Ärzteschaft. So können nicht nur technische Fortschritte vermittelt, sondern auch das medizinische Know-how auf ein neues Level gehoben werden. Questions about the thematic background are diverse; the case of the Assad regime in Syria in particular brings with it new challenges that could influence cooperation.

Commitment and collaboration

Soda has particularly distinguished himself as chairman of the newly founded German-Syrian Society for Neurology e.V. (DSGN) and actively promotes the exchange of knowledge and technology. The aim is not only to provide our Syrian colleagues with the most modern equipment, but also to properly train them in how to use and handle it.

The commitment of Hassan Soda and his team is particularly important as it offers hope for the future of healthcare in the crisis region. The Rhön Clinic's active participation in this initiative is an example of how medical professionals from different countries can get in touch with each other and support each other.

Advances in medical education

In addition to the technological aspects, the focus is also on training. Ideas and concepts for training programs and workshops are developed in close collaboration with Syrian colleagues to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer. The clear goal: to make medical care in Syria future-proof.

The effort to improve medical quality in crisis areas is by no means a small matter. It is a social commitment that is highly respected around the world, and the team around Hassan Soda shows how locally driven initiatives can have far-reaching impact.
