Nürnberg, Deutschland - Caro from Pfaffenhofen, 30 years old, celebrated a very special anniversary on this year's Pentecost weekend. Together with tens of thousands of other music enthusiasts, she left the 30th anniversary of the “Rock im Park” festival in Nuremberg. Everything went very quickly - initially they led a long -distance relationship over 350 kilometers, but a year later Benny moved to her in Pfaffenhofen. Today they are married and parents of a daughter who brings a small musical talent by loving both children's songs and music from bands such as Blink-182. During the festival, the daughter spent time with the grandparents. Caro and Benny opened early on Thursday to secure a good campsite, and despite the cold and rain showers, their enthusiasm remained unbroken. "For me it is selfcare," says Caro, who viewed the performances of Bring Me The Horizon and Electric Bassboy as the crowning glory of their festival experience.

The roots of the festival

"Rock im Park" has its roots in Vienna, where it was launched in 1993 by Marek Lieberberg as "Rock in Vienna". The following year, the festival moved to Munich before it took place in the Olympic Park in 1995. The move to Nuremberg in 1997 turned out to be groundbreaking. The first event in the new location was able to attract over 52,000 visitors, and since then the festival has developed into a true melting pot of cultural diversity and individuality. However, the past few years have not been free of challenges. Weather problems and residents caused some difficulties, and ticket prices have increased steadily since the first edition of 1997.
