Donau Classic 2025: Vintage car rally celebrates 20 years of driving pleasure!
The 20th round will roll in a few days Danube Classic through the picturesque landscapes of Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria. On July 18th and 19th, 2025, over 300 vintage and sports cars will gather to conquer the streets around Ingolstadt. An impressive field of participants from Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland awaits the visitors, including a very special participant: 100-year-old Joachim Hess from Bavaria, who is there with his vehicle built up to 2005.
The event has developed from a spontaneous idea in 2005 into a popular tradition in German-speaking countries that we shouldn't miss. The rally begins at the Ingolstadt Golf Club, from where the 470-kilometer dream ride through the region starts on Friday. The route leads through central towns such as Kösching, Berching and Dietfurt before returning to Großmehring. The journey continues on Saturday and takes the participants from Ingolstadt via Ernsgaden to Mainburg and Kelheim.
Special highlights of the anniversary event
A special highlight this year is the introduction of theGeneration Cups, in which 23 teams made up of parents and children or grandparents and grandchildren take part in the special stages together. For the 20th DONAU CLASSIC, at least 16 special stages and numerous transit controls are planned in the demanding routes that show the beauty of the Altmühltal landscape.
The event places great emphasis on Bavarian hospitality. The evening before, July 17, 2025, an optional technical and document acceptance as well as a social get-together will take place in the “Autohaus Rudzki Welcome Lounge”, where the physical well-being of the participants will be taken care of. Early birders and loyal participants can also look forward to an individual anniversary discount.

The DONAU CLASSIC is not just intended for classic car enthusiasts; Even vehicle enthusiasts who do not want to take part in a competition can enjoy the event. The rally offers the opportunity to discover the breathtaking landscape of central Bavaria in one of over 310 vehicles - from the elegant Plymouth PD Special from 1933 to the modern Ferrari SF90.
