European successes: Mühldorfer delegates shine in Amberg!

Mühldorf am Inn, Deutschland - Big events throw their shadows ahead! The district association of the European Union in the district of Mühldorf celebrated several successes at the most recent state assembly in Amberg. The re -election of Walter Göbl, who was confirmed as deputy state chairman with the best results, is particularly gratifying. With a strong appearance, the Mühldorfer can also look forward to the newcomer Maximilian Bauer. The young doctor from Ampfing was elected to the committee as an assessor and was one of the leaders among the candidates.

As far as the numbers are concerned, they prove the strong presence of the district: Mühldorf and Altötting provided seven of the 69 delegates of the meeting, which corresponds to a proud ten percent. This is a sign of the committed work of the members who also implemented numerous initiatives and actions in 2024.

activities in 2024

Last year, the European Union in the Mühldorf district expanded its commitment remarkably. At the beginning of the year, right -wing radical statements about the Wannsee Conference in Potsdam caused excitement. This led to nationwide demonstrations for democracy and diversity, in which 600 citizens from Mühldorf also took part. A clear sign against agitation and for a colorful, peaceful society!

In February, board elections were on the agenda. The existing board of directors was not only confirmed, but also expanded to include new members. This shows that the organization lives in the region and the number of members has increased - from 120 to almost 140! Preparations for the European elections on June 9th were also the focus of the activities. Over 80 % of the voters voted for pro-European parties, with the votes of voters aged 16 and over.

cultural and visual measures

In a further step, a poster exhibition was developed in cooperation with teachers and students. In addition, the European bus of the Bavarian State Chancellery brought fresh wind to Mühldorf to inform about the EU in schools. The digital discussion format, which was organized with the youth care of the district, was very well received and attracted 21 schools.

The cultural activities were not only limited to the imparting of knowledge. In June, the district association made a trip to Graz, Vienna and Bratislava to promote cooperation with the European federal and federal movement of Styria. An exciting educational trip to Luxembourg followed in autumn, which also included a visit to the European Parliament and the European Court of Justice. All of these activities showed how important the exchange is among the European nations.

In addition, the 3rd European forum took place on September 23, which attracted a wide audience. Over 100 guests discussed the topic "Climate protection - yes, but ...?" And made it clear that environmental protection plays a central role in the discussion about the future of Europe. The traditional European meal with the Consul General of the Republic of Hungary in October was also a highlight of the year that celebrated the historical connections and friendships between the countries.

Walter Göbl, the district chairman, expressed his thank you to all board members who contributed with great commitment. The view now remains on the planning for the annual program 2025, which certainly has many exciting projects.

The work of the European Union impressively shows how important the cohesion and commitment to a strong European community are-and how much ahead of us! Further information can be found at Innsalzach24 , EU-Bayern and Landeszentrale-bremen .
