Things get lively again in Miesbach in summer! From June 27th to July 6th, 2025, the Miesbacher Volksfest opens its doors on the popular Waitzinger Wiese and awaits visitors with a diverse program. The opening will take place on Friday, June 27 at 5 p.m., followed by rides and a celebratory concert at 5:30 p.m. The exciting parade with the Pschorr brewery horses will move to the Waitzinger Wiese at 6:30 p.m., where Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller will officially open the celebrations. Find out more about it here.

This year's festival promises to offer something for all ages. On Saturday, June 28th, the day starts with a vintage car breakfast from 11 a.m., with vintage car drivers receiving a chicken voucher until 2 p.m. In the evening the band “Großstoana” provides the atmosphere. Sunday, June 29th, will be dedicated to the “Agatharieder Tanzlmusi” from 11 a.m. as well as the popular beer stein push, during which the Miesbach volunteer fire department will be at an information stand. Interested in the other attractions? All the details are here.

A colorful program for the whole family

On Mason Monday, June 30th, the marquee operation continues at 2 p.m., followed by a traditional kettle meat dinner from 6 p.m. The big raffle at 8:30 p.m. offers great prizes, including a meadow table at the Oktoberfest and tickets for the Allianz Arena. It's clear that a detour to the Waitzinger Wiese is also worth it on Tuesday, July 1st - then the little ones will be completely in their element at the children's pageant from 2 p.m. and the Punch and Judy show from 3 p.m. In the evening the band “Flash Light” rocks the stage. You can find out more about the program here.

Wednesday, July 2nd, attracts guests with a beer tent evening, while on Thursday, July 3rd, the “Rockaholix” bring the masses to party from 8 p.m. Business Day is scheduled for Friday, July 4th, where discounted after-work meals and half chicken are available until 2 p.m. for 14 euros. The spectacle continues on the Saturday of the festival, July 5th, with a sheepshead race, followed by the awards ceremony. Finally, on the last Sunday, July 6th, the “Schodseitblech” sets the musical tone.

Attractions for young and old

Of course, there is also a variety of rides. Whether the colorful children's carousel, the adrenaline-charged bumper car or the nostalgic Ferris wheel - there is something here for every taste. Numerous food stalls, which offer, among other things, delicious roasted almonds and fresh fish, ensure your physical well-being.

To make traveling to the festival easier, the largest public and paid parking lot in Miesbach is located at Habererplatz. Alternatively, there are both paid and free parking options in the city area. Arriving by train is also an option, as it only takes a short walk of less than ten minutes from the train station to get to Waitzinger Wiese.

The Kurz family is also planning another folk festival in Gmund for 2026. Table reservations for the Miesbach folk festival can be made via WhatsApp on 0175/8220467. A good hand with the festivities is guaranteed!
