Sparkasse Coburg-Lichtenfels: 11,000 euros for kindergartens in need!

A big step for the kindergartens in the Lichtenfels district: Sparkasse Coburg – Lichtenfels recently handed over a remarkable donation of over 11,000 euros. These generous funds come from the net proceeds of PS Saving and Winning, a program that has supported the region for over 40 years. The aim of the initiative is to expand the kindergarten offerings and improve the learning and development environment for the youngest children. The ceremonial donation handover took place in the Franziskus Kindergarten in Lichtenfels, where the director, Ines Fuchs, emphasized the urgency of additional purchases that cannot be covered by the normal budget.

The importance of this donation is underlined by the development of kindergartens from pure care facilities to real educational facilities. Parents today have higher demands on the care of their children, which makes the need for financial support unavoidable. Deputy District Administrator Helmut Fischer and Mayor Andreas Hügerich expressed their gratitude for the Sparkasse's commitment and emphasized how important such initiatives are for the future of children.

An unforgettable day

The event was accompanied by musical and dance performances by the children, who thrilled the guests with a short play. And as a thank you for their support, the little actors received delicious ice cream - a sweet surprise that was sure to bring joy.

In addition to the donation to the kindergartens, it is worth mentioning that the employees of Caritas gGmbH also sent a sign of solidarity as part of the “Restcent” campaign. They handed over a donation of 2,567 euros to the Sternenzelt children's and youth hospice in Bamberg. There, families with children and young people suffering from life-limiting illnesses are offered a place of peace and relief. The hospice has special offers, such as individual grief support and space for siblings to support the burdened families.

Shared responsibility

Donations are not only a financial contribution, but also a sign of solidarity and responsibility in the community. Numerous organizations and initiatives are committed to helping people in need. In this context, CAF International's validation process for non-profit organizations is of great importance. With the Validated organization badge This ensures that the funds collected actually benefit the supported projects. Such measures help to increase trust in nonprofit institutions and minimize the risk of fraud and abuse.

Overall, it shows that positive changes in society can be brought about through community engagement not only in Lichtenfels but also beyond. The Sparkasse Coburg – Lichtenfels impressively proves that with a good knack for social projects you can make a significant difference in the lives of the young generation. Cheers to the many helpers and supporters who are working hard for a better future!
