In addition, 60% of the respondents are in favor of building the city theater, even if this project is currently on hold. Another example of sustainable investments is the renovation of the ice rink, which at 23.3 million euros experienced an almost complete conversion.

In order to make future urban development in Landshut sustainably, the city administration has also commissioned the concept for climate -oriented urban development. In this context, fields of action such as sustainable construction, development of compacted development and sustainable mobility are examined. These strategies are intended to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to make the urban infrastructure climate -friendly. The findings from the concept form the basis for future plans and are included in the decision criteria of urban development, as the city council decided on May 26, 2023.
