On Thursday evening there was a scandalous incident in Landsberg am Lech that heated up the minds of local residents. An older woman targeted an eleven-year-old girl while she was cycling with a nine-year-old friend on the bike path on Breslauer Strasse. The situation escalated when the lady who was cycling in the opposite direction - a clear violation of the rules - had to get off her bike and then let out her displeasure.
The two girls stopped to avoid a collision. Instead of apologizing, the older woman insulted the two and asked why they didn't pull over. When the eleven-year-old and her friend tried to continue riding, the woman grabbed the girl's bike by the saddle and insulted her. Despite the attack, the child was able to break away and fled. But the older lady didn't let herself be shaken off, pursued the girl, held her by the forearm and hit the back of her hand several times with the palm of her hand.
Police call for witnesses
After this attack, the older woman disappeared towards the exit of the town. The Landsberg am Lech police have now asked the public for help. Witnesses who saw something or who can provide information about the incident are asked to call 08191/9320. The description of the alleged perpetrator could support the investigation: She is described as an older lady with white, short, curly hair, who was wearing a pink T-shirt, white shorts and sunglasses.
