KU 3 KU 3: Full closure from June 16 - Take care!
In the Kulmbach district, there will be some street construction measures in the coming weeks that drivers should notify. From June 16, 2025, the KU 3 district road between Hofstätten and Niederndobrach will be completely closed for about ten days. This block affects a distance of around 1.5 kilometers, starting at the Hofstätten town exit to the entrance to Niederndobrach. The responsible authorities call for all road users to show increased attention in the diversion area, since the detour is clearly shown via the B85 and KU06.
The work is expected to end on June 26, 2025. The signs on the roadside are set up early to inform the drivers in good time. However, there could be delays if the weather does not play along, which could extend the construction period. The district of Kulmbach asks for understanding for possible inconvenience.
Large construction site B85 in front of the door
But that's not the only construction site in the region; The federal road B85 is also affected. Comprehensive renovation work will take place there from May 21, 2025. Here, too, age -related damage must be complained that not only cracks, but also track channels and bumps. The state building authority Bayreuth plans to increase traffic safety through a noise -reducing asphalt covering that reduces noise during the journey.
The full closure of the B85 lasts until June 20, 2025, whereby the redirection leads extensively over the snap bar and the A 70 and A 9 to the Bad Berneck/Himmelkron departure. From there it continues via the B303 and B289 towards Kulmbach. In order to keep the flow of traffic calm, it is recommended to plan more time for their trips and to consider the corresponding diversion instructions.
sustainability in road construction
These construction measures are part of a more comprehensive strategy to improve the transport infrastructure in Germany. The Federal Institute for Road Sewings emphasizes the importance of maintenance work, since the loads due to rising truck traffic and high axle loads are steadily increasing. Climate change is also increasingly being included in the planning and execution of road construction projects. The use of sustainable materials and the consideration of noise -reducing measures are central aspects that are increasingly being considered.
The past has shown that continuous observation of road conditions is necessary in order to be able to ensure security, driving comfort and substance value in the long term. With new building materials and methods, another step could soon be taken towards improved road state.
While the construction work progresses, it remains important to regularly find out about the current road conditions and closures. This not only guarantees a smooth progress, but also more security for all road users.
