Horticultural Association Nordhalben celebrates 50 years of commitment to nature!
On June 17, 2025, the Gartenbauverein Nordhalben celebrated its proud 50th anniversary with a festive evening in the youth home. Numerous members and guests from the region gathered on this special occasion to honor the successful history of the association. Among those present were the district chairman Fritz Pohl, Mayor Michael Pöhnlein and the deputy chairman Marianne Köstner. The long -time chairman Horst Graf and his predecessor Barbara Wachter were also present on this solemn evening.
With a colorful program and a festive mood, not only the anniversary was celebrated, but also the merits of the founding members were honored. Horst Wunder and Klaus Pötzinger, like Bärbel Geiger and Margot Zimmermann, have received awards for their commitment in the past five decades. Their tireless efforts have contributed significantly to the care of green areas, the design of new flower beds and the organization of diverse festivals.
