But, as luck would have it, he took a briefcase with him that didn't belong to him - and the one with it belonged to a man who has since been murdered and whose body is found in the river. The complications and absurd situations that arise from this are typical of the brilliant pen of Ray Cooney, the master of comedy.

Heinrich's chaotic day is marked by a series of comical and exciting twists and turns. His wife is not very enthusiastic about his plans, as she has a roast chicken in the oven and friends who are expected to celebrate soon. The situation becomes even more complicated with the shady police officer suddenly appearing at the door. Cooney's brilliant talent is evident here, as he captures the characters' entanglements and misunderstandings with great wit and insight. Who is the real owner of the suitcase, and how will Heinrich get out of this farce?
