Haie crown home win against Ingolstadt with a thrilling team performance!

In an exciting ice hockey game yesterday evening, the Kölner Haie defeated ERC Ingolstadt 4:3. The duel in the LANXESS arena attracted 17,610 spectators who experienced a rousing match. The Haie were able to celebrate their third home win in a row and are in great form this season.

However, the start of the game was completely different than expected. Ingolstadt took command in the first third and put the Haie under pressure. Despite this dominant phase of the opponent, Felix Brückmann managed to keep the Cologne goal clean. In the 12th minute, however, Parker Tuomie gave the Haie the lead with his first goal of the season. The joy was short-lived as Myles Powell equalized for Ingolstadt just two minutes later. Edwin Tropmann even gave the guests the lead in the 24th minute (1:2).

Thrilling game with a dramatic ending

But the sharks were not discouraged. In the second third, Valtteri Kemiläinen equalized the score to 2-2 in the 36th minute. In the final third, Juhani Tyrväinen took the lead for the Haie in the 46th minute, followed by Gregor MacLeod, who increased the score to 4-2 in the 51st minute. However, the pressure from Ingolstadt remained until the last minute, when Myles Powell made the game exciting again in the 57th minute and reduced it to 4:3.

This encounter once again showed the strength of the Cologne team, which scored four goals in all five wins this season. The variety of goal scorers, with four different players, also speaks for the good team performance.

Outlook for the next games

What happens next? The Kölner Haie's next home game against the Iserlohn Roosters is scheduled for next Sunday, October 12th. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and the Haie hope to be able to build on their recent performances there too. It remains exciting to see whether this successful team can continue to impress.

A big thank you to all the fans who supported the team so actively yesterday. With this passion in the stands and on the ice, the Sharks are hungry for more!
