Women's power in politics: next networking meeting in Haßberge!
Something is happening in Lower Franconia - all about women's power in politics. The event series “Politics Needs Women” has set itself the goal of increasing the proportion of women in municipal committees and mayoral offices. The next big day of action will take place on October 18th in Würzburg and is organized by the equal opportunities officers in Lower Franconia, who have been holding this event for eight years. An important concern is to motivate women to get actively involved in politics and to set the course for the local elections in 2026, because there is definitely still potential there.
Christine Stuhler, the equal opportunities officer for the Haßberge district, has taken over the organization of non-partisan networking meetings. These meetings are an excellent forum for exchange, support and advice for women who want to become politically active. The next networking meeting will take place on September 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Haßberge district office. Registrations are possible by email at egalstellung@hassberge.de.
A space for ideas and commitment
The meetings not only serve to make contacts, but also to provide helpful tips and practical tools for political work in the municipalities. Stuhler emphatically emphasizes the importance of women's involvement in politics: "It doesn't work without women. We need more women in decision-making positions!"
This commitment has been gratefully accepted by numerous women from the region. The current series of events creates a network that can contribute to significantly changing the political landscape in Lower Franconia.
Strong together into the future
But networking is not just limited to political ambitions. The exchange between the participants also strengthens the sense of community and, in the long term, can lead to more women opting for political office. At a time when women's rights and equality are still relevant, it is even more important to actively work on solutions and take bold steps in politics.
So anyone who feels addressed should not miss this opportunity. Whether an experienced politician or a newcomer – every woman has something to contribute to the political debate. The gates to more women in politics are wide open, and it is up to us to take advantage of these diverse opportunities.
