100,000 euros for your ideas: Regional budget 2026 in the Haßberge district!

There is a breath of fresh air for innovative ideas in the Haßberge district! The Main post reports that the ILE Lebensregion plus Hassberge – Maintal-Steigerwald has applied for a regional budget for small projects. This means that a total of 100,000 euros are available for 2026 - but only subject to the approval of the Office for Rural Development (ALE) Lower Franconia.

The regional budget is therefore an interesting opportunity for the eleven municipalities in the southern district. The focus is primarily on projects that serve rural development, strengthen regional identity and improve living conditions. Small projects with a funding requirement of 500 euros or more can be funded here, as long as the total expenditure does not exceed 20,000 euros net.

Funding amount and deadlines

The application deadline runs until December 15, 2025. The decision on funding applications is made by committees consisting of citizens and representatives of associations and communities. Selected projects can receive up to 80 percent of the eligible gross costs, but a maximum of 10,000 euros per project. In addition, the projects must be implemented and invoiced by September 30, 2026.

In order to benefit from this funding, project sponsors should communicate in advance with the alliance managers of the respective community alliances.
