New funeral offer in Fürth: Leaves in the wind starts in August!

From Friday, August 1st, the offer of the main cemetery Fürth will be expanded with a unique urn burial. The new grave system with the poetic name "Blätter im Wind" was installed in May by the company Grabanlagen from Ofterschwang and offers a modern and appealing way of the final resting place. This innovative system consists of three elegantly designed steals made of Franconian limestone, between which 30 handmade glass leaves made of special glass are floating. Each of these unique pieces was manufactured by the talented glass artist Susanne Wolf and symbolizes both the transience and the uniqueness of life.

The concept of the grave system is patented across Europe and enables couples to be buried together. This is another step towards an empathetic and personal burial culture that finds its way into Bavaria. The names as well as years of birth and death of the deceased are shinted into the glass leaves; A porcelain photo can also be integrated on request. Different variants are available when choosing the glass leaves, provided the offer allows it, and for individual design, a vase or lamp can be purchased that additionally beautify the place around the grave site.

quiet location and personal advice

The new grave facility is located in a quiet and central location, near the north entrance of the cemetery. Interested parties can contact the cemetery administration during the usual opening hours in order to learn more about the offer or to receive personal advice. In addition, the grave facility is also presented in the monthly tours in the cemetery, which offers additional insights into this new funeral offer.

The project can not only be seen in Fürth. The concept of “leaves in the wind” is also successfully implemented elsewhere. The Dresden church reports on a similar offer that is said to be available in the cemetery in Dresden-Kaditz in 2024. In this natural surroundings, the glass leaves are also hung on organically bent stainless steel pipes and invite you to a contemplative moment in nature. Here, too, couples can be buried together, and thanks to its harmonious embedding in the landscape, the concept ensures an extraordinary burial experience.

If the choice falls on the new grave facility in Fürth, family and friends can say goodbye in a loving and aesthetically appealing environment. The combination of art and nature becomes a permanent memory of the deceased, which not only reflects their uniqueness, but also takes a permanent place in the heart of the bereaved.
