FC Bayern fan items for good causes: Auction in the Olching marquee!

What's new from Olching? On Wednesday, June 18th, there will be a very special auction of FC Bayern fan items as part of the popular Olchinger Volksfest. An originally worn and autographed Bundesliga jersey by Aleksandar Pavlović as well as a signed football by the star will be auctioned in the marquee. Pavlović, who grew up in Olching, made these sought-after pieces available to support a good cause. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Olching City Foundation, which would like to use it to support charitable and social projects. The auction opens at 7 p.m., and who better to moderate it than Mayor Andreas Magg, who is looking forward to the evening with great anticipation?

This year, the Olchinger Volksfest extends until Sunday, June 22nd, and attracts numerous visitors from the surrounding communities. In addition to the auction, festival visitors can look forward to a variety of attractions. From numerous rides, such as the children's carousel and the Ferris wheel, to live music in the marquee - there is something for everyone here. It will be particularly exciting on Saturday, June 21st, when the Olching Sheepshead Championship takes place from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

A folk festival for all generations

Folk festivals in Bavaria are not only an excellent place to enjoy small delicacies such as Leberkäse or pretzels. They are also a melting pot of traditions and cultures valued by people from near and far. As is usual at many Bavarian folk festivals, Olching also has a varied program that combines brass music and modern party bands. This creates an exuberant atmosphere and attracts revelers from across generations.

In order to impress the Upper Austrians, there are various offers for children again this year. From the Punch and Judy show to painting and craft activities to balloon competitions - the little ones get their money's worth. The traditional beer garden culture, which you don't want to miss at Bavarian festivals, will not be neglected either. The festival beer comes from the Widmann family of innkeepers from Freising and complements the festival's culinary offerings perfectly.

A look into the past and future

At the last folk festival in 2015, the event has always attracted a lot of people over the years, and it is expected to be a success this year too. The Olching folk festival looks back on a long tradition. The holidays offer everyone the opportunity to immerse themselves deeply in Bavarian culture and become part of a unique experience. Even though the festival only takes place once a year, the memories of happy hours will last for a long time.

In addition, after the folk festival, repair work will begin on the square in order to provide an even better setting for future events. The city council has already approved funding to clear the often annoying mud puddles and uneven ground. So you can look forward to even better conditions at the festival site next year.

A visit to the Olchinger Volksfest is more than just a few nice hours. It is an opportunity to enjoy the Bavarian joy of life in its purest form and to experience togetherness in the community. Be there and support the good causes that are being pursued as part of this folk festival!
