Kristina Urmann: With 100% for the new term of office - Neureichenau is on the upswing!
In Neureichenau, the Christian Socials are relying entirely on Mayor Kristina Urmann, who was confirmed as a candidate for the 2026 local elections with 100% of the votes at her party's nomination meeting. The meeting took place in the “Zum Grünen Tal” inn in Hinterfreundorf, where Urmann looked back on a successful term of office of five and a half years. She paid particular attention to the challenges posed by the corona pandemic and how the trusting cooperation in the local council, especially with her deputy Manuel Rauch, was fruitful, especially in difficult times.
Among the projects that Urmann was able to successfully implement during her term of office is the future plan for Neureichenau, which extends over a period of ten years. She also mentioned the district development concept, which is characterized by active citizen participation. The mayor reported on the new kindergarten with 221 places and the general renovation of the schools at Dreisessel, which is scheduled to move in in 2026. The reuse concepts for old school buildings in Lackenhäuser and Altreichenau are also taken into account, in addition to a new commercial area in Gsenget and broadband expansion. PNP reports
Redesign of the town thoroughfare
A central aspect of the current district development concept is the redesign of the town thoroughfare in Neureichenau. The first on-site appointment with those responsible took place at the end of July to inspect the conditions on site. The main issues are pedestrian safety through better sidewalks and street crossings. Mayor Urmann is optimistic about finding a solution that does justice to everyone involved. An information and participation meeting for residents will be convened in the fall. Architect Florian Riesinger from Bad Birnbach is leading the planning, while the Passau State Building Authority is carrying out the necessary site measurements. Neureichenau.de explains the details
