SE Freising: New coaching team and big plans for the return!

SE Freising is facing a rebirth - after relegation from the regional league, the club has big plans and is preparing for the coming season. Preparation begins on June 20th under a new, motivated coaching team. Alexander Schmidbauer remains on board as coach and is supported by Christoph Glas, who knows his former club well as a player from 2015 to 2019 and brings valuable regional league experience. The 33-year-old will provide a lot of new impetus, while Fabio Order, who is currently the goalkeeping coach, was previously active in the district league and would like to bring in fresh ideas, reported Fupa.

The sporting development is in the hands of Andreas Schlechta, who acts as sports director and is a full-time event manager. Together with Sebastian Thalhammer, who is currently recovering from cruciate ligament surgery, Schlechta is pursuing the goal of making SE Freising a top address for training young talent in the district.

Criticism of the city of Freising

Despite the positive developments, there are also serious issues to discuss. Contu, a member of the association, sharply criticizes the city of Freising. So promises were made, but nothing was implemented. The circumstances following a lightning strike in the stadium are particularly untenable: there has been a lack of electrical power for a year, and there are no floodlights or a loudspeaker system. These grievances had already led to games being postponed. Contu expressed his displeasure that there was no representative city member to take up these issues and emphasized the high financial and time expenditure that the team had to cope with in order to be able to play in Marzling, for which SE Freising is grateful to the SVM. All of this contradicts the desired goal of strengthening volunteer work in the association, which cannot be achieved in this way, as Wochenblatt reports.

Volunteering plays a crucial role in amateur football. Volunteers make an invaluable contribution to the organization and operation of the association. They promote community and cohesion and are the backbone of every association. Whether as a trainer, supervisor or board member – your commitment is irreplaceable. How important this work is for society and the development of young players is underlined by numerous initiatives such as fundraising or integrative football projects, according to co-trainer.

Overall, it shows that SE Freising is not only ambitious in terms of sport but also structurally on its way back to the state league. As preparations progress, the challenge remains to clarify the relationship with the city and ensure the necessary support for volunteers to further strengthen community and social values.
