Free boulder therapy for young people: information evening on November 17th!

Today we have exciting news from Erlangen that focuses on both the physical and mental health of young people. The Erlangen University Hospital has launched an innovative project that combines bouldering with psychotherapeutic approaches. Loud UK Erlangen Bouldering promotes mental health and strengthens physical fitness, which has been proven in studies by the psychiatric and psychotherapeutic clinic.

From 2026, Boulder psychotherapy will also be made available to young people aged 13 to 18. To find out more about this exciting offer, the clinic invites you to two online events, which will take place on Monday, November 17th, 2025, and Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Anyone interested can find out more about participating in the study and ask questions here.

Free participation and group start

The project entitled “BooSt – Boulder yourself strong: Boulder psychotherapy against depression and stress” aims to help young people better deal with stress and psychological stress. In therapeutically supported bouldering groups, participants learn strategies for self-confidence, mindfulness and resilience in ten units. Advertising is underway, and the first new groups will start as early as January and May 2026 in cities such as Erlangen, Nuremberg, Bamberg and Regensburg.

Participation in this unique program is completely free and interested young people can already register. Further information and the Zoom link for the online information sessions are on the website boulderdichstark.de to find. A look outside the box

Especially in times when mental health plays an increasingly important role, it is important to emphasize solutions like these. And a look at the larger world of sport, such as the Euroleague, shows what influence community and physical activity can have on well-being. The Euroleague, which was founded in 2000 and has undergone numerous developments since then, symbolizes the competition and community that are also promoted in the bouldering project.

This shows how intensive sport, in combination with therapeutic approaches, can provide valuable support in everyday life. Whether in bouldering or basketball - the key to strength often lies in facing challenges together and supporting each other.

In summary, it can be said that the bouldering project in Erlangen is not only an innovative approach to promoting sexual health in young people, but also an excellent opportunity to actively address stress and emotional strain. Be it bouldering or on the basketball court - there is always a way to find your place in the community and grow from it.
