Golden wedding: Gertrud and Karl Mayerhöfer celebrate 50 years of love!

In a time when the divorce rates rise, they still exist, the couples who master together for half a century. Like Gertrud and Karl Mayerhöfer, who celebrate their golden wedding on July 11, 2025 with gratitude. Your celebration will be part of the "Day of the Marriage Jubilee" on July 13th as part of the Willibaldswoche, where around 400 pairs will also experience cheers. The two like to remember their big day, which took place 50 years ago in the parish church of St. Agidius.

Karl, then 22 years old, and Gertrud, who was 21, already knew each other from the same circle of friends, where many other couples also took the step into the marriage accident early on. Karl describes the year 1975 as a "good vintage". Her wedding was carried out by a special friend of the couple, pastor Karl Strehle, who had previously also christened her. The duo got to know each other in the Dietfurt church choir, and while they expanded their own apartment in the parents' house of Karl, his family operated a café on the ground floor, where the wedding festival also celebrated.

Family happiness and new tasks

The two have two daughters and are now hard -working grandparents. After eleven years of marriage, Gertrud became full -time mom to support her girls. At the moment, she not only does children's hopping services, but also helps actively, so that her children can start professionally. Her three -year -old grandson Paul is currently visiting and is accompanied by Karl for early musical education. Because what could be more beautiful than strengthening the family band and passing on the joy of music?

In their 50 years together, Gertrud and Karl have lived through many ups and downs. They were not only there for each other, they have always accepted new challenges.
