Pro Ebersberg: Christmas market brings donations for the food bank!

On November 1, 2025, the Pro Ebersberg voter community presented a welcome donation for the food bank. The proceeds collected from the sale of HotGin and ApfelGlüh at the Christmas market stand were personally delivered by the chairmen Josef Peis and Reinhold Weise. This initiative aims to support the valuable work of Tafel Ebersberg, which looks after people in need in the region. The Wochenanzeiger reports that volunteers and Dr. Bernd Krüger, the director of the Tafel, is very pleased about this support.

The commitment of the voting community does not stop there. At the upcoming Christmas market we will be collecting again to help the food bank. An interesting collection campaign also took place on World Savings Day, where citizens could hand over foreign currencies to Josef Peis. These collected foreign currencies are donated 1:1 to Welthungerhilfe as part of the “Turn old money into donations” project. A portion of these amounts also benefits the Ebersberg Tafel.

A look at the challenges in the economy

How does the situation on the world market continue to affect the region? The discussion about technological pioneers such as Nvidia is also being followed closely in Bavaria. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has expressed hopes for a return to the Chinese market. This situation is exciting because Nvidia's market shares in China have fallen significantly, which is hurting the company's economy. Since the US export restrictions came into effect, the company has lost its market share in China from 95% to zero percent.

The planned talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping could open up new perspectives for Nvidia. Huang is optimistic that a return to the Chinese market would be beneficial for Nvidia and describes Trump as a capable negotiator. The tech community is discussing how such developments could also affect Bavaria's local companies. Both innovative technology and financial flows in the region could benefit from this.

Amid these economic challenges, support for local initiatives like Tafel Ebersberg is growing. The combination of technological developments and social responsibility brings an interesting dynamic to the region, which continues to rely on everyone's solidarity. While initiatives like Pro Ebersberg's fundraising campaign gain traction, it remains to be seen how economic conditions will impact local business activities.
