Ebersberg District Clinic becomes the Munich East Clinic: A new beginning!
From July 1st, the Ebersberg district clinic will have the new name “Klinikum Ebersberg Munich East”. This move is more than just a name change; It is intended to make it easier to find qualified personnel in the healthcare sector. More and more specialists are coming from all over the world, and in recent years the clinic has actively recruited employees from abroad, for example from the Philippines. What further spurs the decision is an ongoing construction program to create employee housing. The groundbreaking ceremony for a new staff building took place a few weeks ago.
District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß (CSU) is happy about the new name, which also serves as a guide for people who do not know the region well. Many of the hospital's patients live outside the Ebersberg district, and this is exactly where the addition "Munich East" is intended to apply. Managing director Stefan Huber emphasizes the clinic's constant development and the high quality standards it pursues. After all, the clinic boasts first-class medical departments, including certified cardiology and trauma surgery under the direction of chief physician Viktoria Bogner-Flatz.
An improved offer for patients
The Ebersberg Munich East Clinic is also expanding its services. Patients can choose between different accommodation types, including 1-bed, 2-bed and family rooms. Food and accommodation for an accompanying person are also offered. The costs for these additional services can be clarified during admission, which makes planning easier for patients. If you would like more transparency, you can discuss individual questions before a planned stay, especially before procedures or births. The inpatient reception staff are always available to provide information.
A good proportion of patients have private supplementary insurance, which usually covers the costs of the desired services directly with the clinic.
Skilled labor shortage and salary as an incentive
With its new name and expanded service structure, the clinic also wants to survive in view of the shortage of skilled workers. According to current data, an appropriate salary and attractive working conditions are the key to recruiting new talent. A study shows that pay is a top priority, particularly for younger graduates and skilled workers willing to change jobs. Around 68 percent of this target group see the financial incentives as crucial to staying active in the healthcare sector until they retire. Better working hours and improved staffing are also requirements that appeal to many in nursing.
The Ebersberg Clinic relies on a combination of operational commitment and attractive conditions in order to attract the best minds and at the same time maintain patient care at the highest level. The changes in the clinic area and the new name are intended to help strengthen the clinic's perception in the east of Munich and give it the necessary visibility.
