Two Romanians steal over 200 euros in the Donauwörther supermarket!

On Friday evening, October 17, 2025, a remarkable incident occurred in a supermarket on Neurieder Weg in Donauwörth, in which two Romanian men allegedly committed a theft. How Donau-Ries Current Reportedly, the perpetrators entered the supermarket at 6:40 p.m. while hatching a plan to steal valuable goods.

In a clever maneuver, the two men loaded groceries, perfumes and other products into both a backpack and their trouser pockets. A particularly bold attempt by one of the perpetrators was to use a cutter knife to break the anti-theft lock on a liquor bottle. The alcohol was then secretly stored in the backpack. A shopping cart was used correctly to properly pay for some of the items, but the men left the market with a total of 211.00 euros stolen without paying for the hidden goods.

Similar incident in a clothing store

Just a short time later, at 7:15 p.m., another incident occurred in a clothing store on Neurieder Weg, which consisted of almost the same pattern of unfair dealings. Two young women, estimated to be around 20 years old and with long dark hair, apparently tried to steal items worth around 60 euros. However, attentive employees discovered torn-off product signs in the changing room, which drew their attention to the suspicious women, who then immediately fled.

The Donauwörth police were informed immediately, but the search for the fleeing women was initially unsuccessful. According to the report by Augsburger Allgemeine Investigators are currently looking for witnesses who may be able to provide information about what happened.
