Hankofen-Hailing secures central defender talent Stütz!

Spvgg Hankofen-Hailing recently signed a promising new signing: 19-year-old central defender Korbinian Stütz is moving from SSV Jahn Regensburg to Upper Bavaria. With an impressive height of 1.90 meters, Stütz not only brings physical presence, but also a lot of talent and the necessary training to gain a foothold in higher leagues. “We have shown a good hand with him,” said Richard Maierhofer, Hankofen’s sporting director, who describes the defensive player as “well-trained with regional league potential” and praises his skills in central defense.

Korbinian Stütz, who was born in Freising and grew up in Rudelzhausen, has had an exciting but also challenging football career. His first football club was at SV Puttenhausen, but he was discovered early on by FC Ingolstadt, where he ended up in the U10 squad. During this time he was trained under the direction of trainer Sabrina Wittmann. After a few years at FC Ingolstadt, Stütz moved to TSV 1860 Munich at the age of twelve and commuted between his school in Munich and training.

Injuries and new beginnings

The last few years have not been easy for the talented player. In the U17 and U19 divisions, Stütz suffered numerous injuries and absences due to illness. However, these experiences did not discourage him and his move to SSV Jahn Regensburg was the next step on his career ladder. There he was able to establish himself as a regular player in the U21 and made a significant contribution to staying in the league in the Bayernliga. Stütz has currently successfully completed training as an insurance and finance clerk, which proves that he is also well positioned off the pitch.

The decision to switch to Hankofen-Hailing was no coincidence. Stütz was drawn to the club's family atmosphere, which gave him a feeling of security and support. Such aspects are often crucial for young players to be able to develop optimally.

Promoting talent in German football

Stütz's move comes at a time when the focus is increasingly on talent development in German football. The DFB is working on a new training and playing philosophy to offer talented players like Stütz even better conditions. A current topic is the relative age effect (RAE), which means that younger players are often overlooked while older players are given more opportunities. A recent study has shown that the market value of youth players could increase significantly if this effect is ignored. Hannes Wolf, DFB director for young talent, calls for reforms and more sports offerings in schools.

With the new signing Korbinian Stütz at Spvgg Hankofen-Hailing, it becomes clear that talent and the right support have to go hand in hand to be successful in German football. We can only hope that Hankofen-Hailing can also benefit from Stütz’s skills in the coming season.
