Happy foster family festival: a day full of magic and recognition!

A happy day for families: At the youth campground in Mamming, the annual festival for foster families in the Dingolfing-Landau district took place recently. In wonderful weather, a colorful program was offered from noon to evening, which was officially opened by District Administrator Werner Bumeder. He expressed his thanks and recognition to the committed foster parents, who play an essential role in society, as dingolfing-landau

In addition to hearty Schupfnudeln and refreshing ice cream, the little guests were able to jump in the bouncy castle, turn into face painting or experience unforgettable moments while pony rides. A special highlight was the magic show "Incredible" by magician Florian Otto, who inspired not only the children, but also the adults. The district youth ring Dingolfing-Landau actively ensured cool drinks and a pleasant ambience throughout the festival.

an active network for foster families

The exchange among the foster parents is crucial, and therefore the district not only offers festivities, but also far -reaching further training offers. Interested parties who think about accepting foster children are welcome to report to the district's foster child service. The Competence Center Pflegekinder e.V. regularly offers exciting events for foster child aid, which take place both online and in presence. The topics range from impulse meetings to cooperate between foster parents and physical parents to basic courses for specialists who convey essential knowledge and legal framework.

These events are particularly important in order to continuously expand the specialist knowledge and to master the challenges in foster child aid professionally. In addition, an extensive training program is offered by the foster family academy, which is already successfully established in Hessen, as Foster families Hessen

podcast and e-learning for additional support

For foster families who need support, there is even a free e-learning program that was created in cooperation with the state of Hesse. Another innovative way to find out more is the podcast "foster families Germany", which is moderated by Rahma Ataie and Nina Heinemann. This podcast addresses the challenges and experiences of foster children and foster parents and offers the audience the opportunity to gain insights from experts and those affected.

The foster family initiative is an important part of the social infrastructure, and the festival in Mamming has once again shown how valuable the exchange and support are with each other. The commitment of everyone involved, be it with festivals or further training courses, helps to improve the life of foster children and their families bit by bit.
