Festive anticipation: Ganacker fire department celebrates 150 years in September 2026!
Something is happening in the tranquil Ganacker in the Dingolfing-Landau district! The 150th anniversary of the founding of the volunteer fire department will be celebrated from September 4th to 6th, 2026. Already more than a year before the big event, the anticipation in the festival committee is in full swing. Pamela Hiergeist was elected as mother of the celebration and the official welcome by chairman Tobias Huber has already taken place. Huber presented her with a pretty orchid and two “Klupperl” with the engraved names “FF Ganacker” and “Festival Mother Pamela”, which only further fueled the anticipation for the festival. PNP reports.
The preparations also include the planned circular route on the history of the Ganacker Volunteer Fire Department. This is scheduled to open in August or September 2025 and begins at the fire station. The interesting history of the fire department is highlighted here. A real eye-catcher for everyone who is interested in the traditions of the Florians' disciples!
A colorful festival program
The festival weekend promises a full program: On Friday evening, the atmospheric band “Trixi and the Party Animals” will put you in a good mood. On Saturday, the Großköllnbach music band will entertain visitors with Bavarian cosiness and brass music. The crowning finale on Sunday will be the band “voMIAaus” from Ganacker, which will certainly create a great atmosphere. So if you feel like socializing, mark the date in your calendar!
Speaking of celebrations: the 150th anniversary of the Kareth fire department was recently celebrated in the neighborhood. More than 50 clubs came together to celebrate under the motto “Kareth on celebration”. The organization was a challenge, especially in a small environment, because there were some skeptical voices as to whether the small fire department would be able to put on such a large festival. However, promising planning and collective effort made the event a complete success, which shows us: If you stick together, anything is possible! Central Bavarian informed.
A look into fire service history
The importance of the fire department and the preservation of its history are also important on a statewide level. Frank Wörner, head of the fire protection and fire brigade history department, has dealt intensively with the topic. He is not only an active member of the volunteer fire department in Stuttgart, but also has numerous involvements in various committees dedicated to the history of the fire department. His work promotes interest in fire safety education and the stories behind each fire department. His expertise shows us how important it is to honor and pass on traditions. Firefighters Association reports.
In Ganacker and beyond the borders you can see how important it is to celebrate together and maintain traditions. The upcoming celebrations in 2026 offer the ideal opportunity to strengthen the community and look back together on what the fire department has achieved over 150 years. Cheers to the fire department and to all the people who are committed to the common good!
