New Czech-German Club in Deggendorf: Be there on September 23rd!
The Deggendorf City Library invites you to a special event: From September 23, 2025, the new Czech-German Club will open its doors to all interested people. This dedicated exchange takes place in cooperation with the city library of the Czech city of Písek and promises an exciting opportunity to delve deeper into the culture and language of the neighboring country across national borders.
The first round of discussions will take place online from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Anyone interested has until September 19th to register for the club. The Czech-German Club is designed as an informal discussion group in which the participants can choose the topics themselves. Whether it's about everyday culture, current events or literature - there are no limits to the participants' preferences. This initiative aims to further promote understanding and friendship between the two countries.
A meeting place for everyone
We are also looking for a person with good knowledge of Czech who can moderate the meetings. Previous knowledge of the Czech language is of course an advantage, but not a requirement. Anyone who is just starting to learn Czech or is simply curious about the Czech Republic is also welcome. Meetings will take place once a month or every two months, allowing for regular exchanges and encounters.
